Jet Charter Colombia arranges private flights for public figures traveling to and from Colombia, and for the managers and agencies who book that travel on their behalf.
Privacy from the first call
If the trip is confidential and requires extra discretion, tell your advisor when you first call, and we will handle it that way from the start. We only share passenger names and itineraries with the operator and the crew assigned to your flight.
Tours, appearances and paperwork
Promotional schedules change quickly, and a single week can take in Bogota, Miami and Mexico City. Your advisor quotes each leg to suit the distance and the size of the party. From Bogota it is about 1,315 nautical miles to Miami, a midsize jet trip, and about 1,705 to Mexico City, which calls for a super midsize jet.
Stage equipment and props that will not fit in the baggage hold can travel separately on a cargo charter.
Security staff and the full traveling party
Managers, stylists and assistants add up quickly, so give us the full headcount and the luggage list when you first call. If the party travels with its own security staff, include them in that count, because security staff fill seats as well. We can help you arrange ground transportation through a third-party provider at each end of the trip.
Larger traveling parties often need a heavy jet, and our heavy jet page shows the aircraft in that category.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Colombia-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Most international private flights into Colombia arrive at Bogota’s El Dorado International or Medellin’s Jose Maria Cordova International in Rionegro, and Cartagena also takes international flights. Flights between two Colombian cities are flown by Colombian charter operators certified by the Aerocivil, Colombia’s civil aviation authority. Bogota and Medellin sit high in the Andes, so the operator plans the aircraft and the load with the altitude in mind. October and November usually bring the heaviest rain to the Andes, the hurricane season from June through November can affect San Andres and the Caribbean coast, and the weeks from early December to mid-January and Semana Santa book up first. The routing and any fuel stop on a long trip are confirmed with the operator before you book.
