Colombia Fashion Show Private Jet Charter

Jet Charter Colombia arranges flights for designers, buyers, models and guests traveling between Colombia and the fashion calendar abroad, and for visitors flying in to Medellin for Colombiamoda.

Colombiamoda in Medellin

Colombiamoda is Medellin’s fashion week. The 2027 dates have not been announced yet. Call us once they are, and we will tell you when it makes sense to lock in an aircraft, because we do not give firm quotes too far in advance and availability shifts as the dates get closer.

Medellin’s main airport is in Rionegro, about 11 miles east of downtown across the mountains, so allow for the drive when you plan your arrival around a show. We can help you arrange ground transportation through a third-party provider.

Shows in New York, Paris and Madrid

Designers and buyers from Bogota and Medellin also fly out for the shows in New York, Paris and Madrid, sometimes with more than one city in the same season. New York is about 2,170 nautical miles from Bogota, and a super midsize jet reaches it. Paris and Madrid are much farther, and those trips call for a long-range jet.

Send us every city and date in the season when you first call. Your advisor can then plan the whole trip as one itinerary, and the operator and aircraft are confirmed with you before you book.

Collections, samples and garment bags

Garment bags, boxed samples, shoes and accessories add up quickly, and on a light or midsize jet they compete with the passengers for room. Along with the dates, tell us how many pieces are coming and how they are packed, and your advisor will size the aircraft for the people and the luggage together. If a collection is moving on its own, a separate air cargo charter may suit it better.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Colombia-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

Most international private flights into Colombia arrive at Bogota’s El Dorado International or Medellin’s Jose Maria Cordova International in Rionegro, and Cartagena also takes international flights. Flights between two Colombian cities are flown by Colombian charter operators certified by the Aerocivil, Colombia’s civil aviation authority. Bogota and Medellin sit high in the Andes, so the operator plans the aircraft and the load with the altitude in mind. October and November usually bring the heaviest rain to the Andes, the hurricane season from June through November can affect San Andres and the Caribbean coast, and the weeks from early December to mid-January and Semana Santa book up first. The routing and any fuel stop on a long trip are confirmed with the operator before you book.
